Knockout Kobern-Gondorf-1

If you have been following along my travels on my recent German Castle Tour you might have noticed the severe lack of sun in my shots since I started this trip, my day in Koblenz was sunny and fine so it shows with the resounding lack of pictures I took and amount of beer wine I consumed sunning myself on some very nice patios into the evening.

So sorry for the short change of shots of Koblenz but as you can see from this picture my respite was short lived, oh well, welcome to Kobern-Gondorf and no this not named for the Lord of the Rings 😉

A cute little village kind of between Koblenz and Cochem along the Mosel and tends to be overlooked to all but a few and most will miss this in their hurry to get further upstream.
With less than 4000 inhabitants KG occupies some prime real estate, this wine town stretches along the Mosel for 3km, I think that might afford everyone in town a river view.

I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 24-70mm 2.8 G2 Lens processed in LR, PS luminosity masks and DXO Nik

Disclaimer: Not trying to be realistic in my editing there is enough realism in the world, my style is a mix of painterly and romanticism as well as a work in progress.
